We hope you’ll join us for the opening reception for “TRIBE,” AOK‘s second group art show at our art space at Independent Sector.

Focused on the theme of sisterhood and brotherhood, the show explores the bonds that connect us. In the words of our young artists: “‘TRIBE’ explores the dynamics of kinship and its many faces and embraces the notion that the bonds of sisterhood and brotherhood transcend biology. ‘TRIBE’ dives into the idea that relationships define who we are as we share our truths with intentions to become our best selves together.”

15 talented DC-area young artists will share visual art and performance and will engage audience members in conversation about their work and its theme.
